Quilter’s Academy – Freshman Year (Peggie Clelland)

In this class, you will build basic quilting skills from cutting fabric, sewing accurately, pressing, checking for size, and laying a foundation for precise piecing. You will learn basic drafting skills leading to designing your own blocks and quilts. There is something in this course for every quilter, beginner to advanced.

Book: Quilter’s Academy, Vol. 1-Freshman Year by Harriet Hargrave & Carrie Hargrave, Sewing machine and basic supplies. 3X# post-its, Rotary cutter, 18 X 24 cutting mat, 6″x12″ and 2 1/2″x12″ ruler. Graph paper, colored pencils, pink drafting ruler, fabric frixion pen or marking pencil, 1 fat quarter, 1/8 yard light and 1/8 yard dark fabric, 1/2 yard each dark solid, light print, & white fabric.  All supplies available for In-store purchase.
